A 3 day event celebrating the settlement of the three original townships of Lanark, Dalhousie and North Sherbrook, with Lavant and Darling shortly after 1820. Lanark Highlands 200 year history. Beginning on Friday August 21st with a carnival at Clyde Park, followed by a parade and finishing with fireworks.
Saturday Aug.22nd starts with a pioneer breakfast, many demonstrations throughout the village, games & crafts at the Riverside Park, school reunions, many vendors at the arena, ending the day with a BBQ dinner at the arena, followed by live entertainment. Sunday August 23rd the ringing of all the church bells at noon welcoming everyone to the Clyde baseball park for a baseball game. Car show at the arena at the same time. Raffle draw, burying a time capsule and closing ceremonies.
Something for everyone. We hope that past, present and future residents of Lanark Highlands will support these events, and see why this place we call home has survived for 200 years.
