Reduced Load Weights On All Township Roads NOW IN EFFECT

Take notice that the reduced load restrictions (five (5) tonnes per axle) are in force on all Township Roads effective Tuesday February 27, 2024. The reduced load period is necessary for the protection of all Township Roads which are susceptible to damage during spring thaw. The restriction will be removed when the likelihood of road damage has diminished. The activation is also in effect for surrounding municipalities: Lanark County, Tay Valley, Drummond North Elmsley, Mississippi Mills, Beckwith, Montague.

The Township of Lanark Highlands is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Rothwell as the new Fire Chief who will officially begin his role on February 16th, 2024. Rothwell brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and education from his 13 years on the Lanark Highlands Fire Service as a Junior Fire Fighter, Volunteer Fire Fighter and Station Captain, in addition to his most recent position as the Deputy Fire Chief – Training and Prevention. It has come to our attention that the January 20th Saturday Themed Skate Night was cancelled, and the message was not appropriately relayed to the public. We want to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. As a result, the Township will be sponsoring the February 3rd Valentine's Day Themed Skate.
