(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – Between Monday, May 3, 2021 and Monday, May 10, 2021 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 297 calls for service.
The calls included:
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Total: 15
Car / Deer: 2
Parking Lots: 3
Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 1
Vs Raccoon: 1
Impaired Driving
On May 5, 2021 Scott WARREN, age 30 of Drummond-North Elmsley Township, was charged with one count each of impaired operation – alcohol, impaired operation – blood alcohol concentration over 80 as the result of a traffic complaint on Appleton Side Road in Beckwith Township. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on June 21, 2021.
Domestic Incidents
On May 4, 2021 a 32 year old resident of Carleton Place was charged with seven counts of spousal assault and one count each of domestic mischief and uttering death threats as the result of a historic domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on June 21, 2021.
On May 6, 2021 a 36 year old resident of Lanark Highlands was charged with two counts of spousal assault as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on June 28, 2021.
The Lanark County OPP investigated 9 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.
Thefts
Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 10 theft complaints during the past week.
Frauds
The Lanark County OPP received 1 report of fraud this week.
