(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – Between Monday, September 26, 2022 and Monday, October 3, 2022 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 485 calls for service.

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Impaired Driving 

On September 27, 2022 Thomas PHELAN, age 61 of the Town of Perth, was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 as the result of a RIDE program which was conducted on Grant Street in Perth. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on November 11, 2022.

On October 1, 2022 Matthew LESLIE-MOFFET, age 30 of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, was charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 as the result of a single vehicle collision on Perth Road in Beckwith Township. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on November 7, 2022.

Domestic Investigations

On September 28, 2022 a 45yr old resident of the Town of Carleton Place was charged with one count of domestic mischief order as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on November 7, 2022.

The Lanark County OPP investigated 9 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.
