LANARK COUNTY OPP DETACHMENT WEEKLY NEWS
(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – Between Monday, August 30, 2021 and Monday, September 5, 2021 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 306 calls for service.

Motor Vehicle Collisions
Total: 19
Vs Deer: 6
Parking Lots: 3
Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 2
Domestic Incidents
On September 5, 2021 a 22yr old resident of Lanark Highlands was charged with one count each of spousal assault, assault causing bodily harm -choking, uttering threats and failing to comply with a release order as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
The Lanark County OPP also investigated 14 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.
Thefts
Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 7 theft complaints during the past week.
Frauds
The Lanark County OPP received 3 reports of fraud this week.
