Motor Vehicle Collisions
Total: 17

Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 0
Impaired Driving
On March 25, 2022 John Douglas GIBSON, age 33 of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, was charged with one count of operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 as the result of a traffic stop on Bellamy Road in Mississippi Mills. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 25, 2022.
Domestic investigations
On March 22, 2022 a 40yr old resident of Lanark Highlands Township was charged with the following offences as the result of a domestic investigation: Spousal Assault x2, Assault, Domestic Mischief x2, Mischief under $5000, Possess a firearm knowing the serial number has been tampered with, possess firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order x2, Utter threat to cause death x2 and Utter threat to cause death – spousal. The accused was arrested and held for a show cause hearing.
The Lanark County OPP also investigated 9 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.
Thefts
On March 25, 2022 Stephane KRAMERS, age 53 of the City of Ottawa, was charged with three counts of Theft under $5000 as the result of a shoplifting investigation in the Town of Carleton Place. Information obtained during this investigation lead to charges being laid for separate incidents involving the same subject on March 22 and March 24. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on May 16, 2022.
Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 18 theft complaints during the past week.
Frauds
The Lanark County OPP received 5 reports of fraud this week.
