(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – Between Monday, March 14, 2022 and Monday, March 21, 2022 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 302 calls for service.
The calls included:
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Total: 21
Vs Deer: 5
Parking Lots: 7
Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 2
Vs Turkey: 1
Domestic investigations
On March 15, 2022 a 43yr old resident of the Township of Montague was charged with one count each of spousal assault, assault causing bodily harm, mischief under $5000 and uttering threats to damage property as the result of a historical domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 25, 2022.
On March 17, 2022 a 21yr old resident of The Town of Carleton Place was charged with one count each of assault, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats to cause death and unlawful confinement as the result of a domestic investigation in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 18, 2022.
On March 18, 2022 a 30yr old resident of the Town of Perth was charged with three counts of spousal assault and one count each of mischief under $5000, uttering threats and failing to comply with a release order. The accused was held for a show cause hearing.
The Lanark County OPP also investigated 7 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.
Thefts
Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 6 theft complaints during the past week.
Frauds
The Lanark County OPP received 5 reports of fraud this week.
