(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – Between Monday, March 7, 2022 and Monday, March 14, 2022 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 293 calls for service.

Motor Vehicle Collisions
Total: 29
Vs Deer: 6
Parking Lots: 2
Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 12
Impaired Driving
On March 9, 2022 David GAGNON, age 59 of Oxford Mills, was charged with one count each of impaired operation – alcohol or drugs and impaired operation – blood alcohol concentration over 80 as the result of a traffic stop on County Road 43 in Montague Township. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 11, 2022.
On March 9, 2022 Brandi SIMPSON, age 34 of McDonalds Corners, was charged with one count each of impaired operation – alcohol or drugs and impaired operation – blood alcohol concentration over 80 as the result of a traffic stop on McDonalds Corners Road in Lanark Highlands Township. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on May 2, 2022.
On March 11, 2022 Glenn COCHRANE, age 61 of Montague Township, was charged with one count each of impaired operation – alcohol or drugs and impaired operation – blood alcohol concentration over 80 as the result of a traffic stop on Highway 7 in the Town of Carleton Place. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 25, 2022.
On March 12, 2022 Jason KENNEDY, age 45 of The Town of Perth, was charged with one count each of impaired operation – alcohol or drugs and impaired operation – blood alcohol concentration over 80 as the result of a traffic stop on Conlon Drive in Perth. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 4, 2022
Domestic investigations
On March 9, 2022 a 52yr old resident of the Town of Carleton Place was charged with four counts of spousal assault and one count each of criminal harassment, mischief under $5000 and unlawful possession of a firearm as the result of a historical domestic investigation. The accused was held for a show cause hearing.
On March 11, 2022 a 19yr old resident of Ottawa was charged with assault with a weapon was the result of a domestic investigation in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on April 11, 2022.
The Lanark County OPP also investigated 9 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.
Thefts
Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 6 theft complaints during the past week.
Frauds
The Lanark County OPP received 4 reports of fraud this week.
