(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – Between Monday, October 25, 2021 and Monday, November 1, 2021 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 425 calls for service.
The calls included:
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Total: 37
Vs Deer: 11
Parking Lots: 8
Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 5
Vs. coyote: 1
Vs. porcupine: 1
Impaired Driving
On October 30, 2021 Eric ZGRAGGEN, 29yrs of age, of the Town of Arnprior, was charged with one count each of operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80, fail or refuse to comply with demand, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm obtained by crime, carless storage of a firearm and occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a prohibited or restricted weapon as the result of a single vehicle collision on Appleton Side Road in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills. The accused was held for a show cause hearing and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on November 8, 2021.
Domestic Incidents
On October 26, 2021 a 43yr old resident of the City of Ottawa was charged with one count of failure to comply with release order as the result of a domestic investigation in the Township of Beckwith. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on December 20, 2021.
The Lanark County OPP also investigated 10 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.
Thefts
Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 7 theft complaints during the past week.
Frauds
The Lanark County OPP received 3 reports of fraud this week.
